CB Series

The AAON CB Series Condensers & Condensing Units are engineered to be energy efficient, long lasting, and easy to install. Standard features include variable speed ECM driven condenser fans, two step compressors, and a continuous fin condenser coil with louvered coil guard. CB Series Condensing Units can be matched with AAON air handling units.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Applications
    • Air-cooled condensing unit or a remote air-cooled condenser, from 2-5 tons or 24-60 MBH.
    • Available for split system air source heat pump configurations.
    • Two step scroll compressor, 67% and 100% capacity, includes rubber isolation mounts to minimize vibration.
    • Variable capacity scroll compressor (10-100%) for load matching cooling and heating and improved part load efficiency

  • Performance

    Split system modulating humidity control is available to provide energy efficient dehumidification, even with low sensible heat loads, without the temperature swings common with on/off reheat systems.

  • Quality
    • Single, easily removable, panel that provides access to the unit service
      compartments.
    • Heavy duty wire guards or painted louvered panels protect the condenser coil from damage and debris.
  • Standard Features
    • Factory supplied and labeled split system copper stub outs with shut off valves for easy installation without the need to cut holes in the cabinet. 
    • Unit specific color-coded point-to-point wiring diagrams are provided and are laminated and permanently affixed inside the control compartment. 
    • Forklift slots in the base provide easy handling at the job site
  • Options
    • Modulating hot gas reheat is available to provide precise dehumidification, even with low sensible  heat loads, without the temperature swings common with/off reheat systems. 
    • Low ambient fan cycling or modulating heat pressure control options (ECM driven or VFD controlled condenser fans) available to allowing cooling operation down to 35°F ambient.

    • Polymer e-coated coils are available to extend the life of the coils and protect them in corrosive environments. 
    • Cabinet is constructed of painted heavy gauge galvanized steel that surpasses a 2,500 hour salt spray test to provide the unit with corrosion protection.

    • Wrap-around, single row, high efficiency condenser coil with no additional rows to trap dirt and debris. A single row wrap-around coil is easier to clean than a multi-row wrap-around coil.
