The Norman Asbjornson Innovation Center (NAIC) is a 65 foot tall 134,000 square foot laboratory marvel able to measure both acoustics and thermal performance. A few features of the lab include supply, return, and outside sound testing at actual load conditions, testing of up to a 300 ton air conditioning system, testing of up to a 540 ton chiller system, and 80 million Btu/hr of gas heating test capacity. Environmental application testing capabilities include -20°F to 140°F testing conditions, up to 8 inches per hour rain testing, up to 2 inches per hour snow testing, and up to 50 mph wind testing. AAON opens Norm Asbjornson Innovation Center Laboratory

October 30, 2019 - AAON, Inc., a leading manufacturer of heating and cooling products, officially opened the Norman Asbjornson Innovation Center (NAIC) Research and Development Laboratory. The Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma, Matt Pinnell, the President and CEO of the Tulsa Regional Chamber, Mike Neal, and other local dignitaries attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

AAON Breaks Ground on New Engineering Research and Development Lab

February 24, 2016 - AAON, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAON), a leading manufacturer of heating and cooling products, breaks ground on new engineering research and development laboratory at the Tulsa manufacturing facility. The three-story 75,000 square foot facility will be both an acoustical and a performance measuring laboratory. The new facility will consist of five psychrometric chambers allowing AAON to meet and maintain AHRI (Air-Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute) and DOE(Department of Energy) certification.
