It can be used for air-source heat pump or water-source heat pump units.

		Pioneer Gold Controller Technical Guide for 1.10 and 2.04 G011011-PG-1.10-2.04-01C The Pioneer Gold controller is the advanced controller configuration for water-source heat pump systems. With space sensors and touchscreen interface the Pioneer Gold can be used for standalone control. The controller also includes terminals for connection to a DDC system or heat pump thermostat. BACnet communication protocol is available directly from the Pioneer Gold.

		Pioneer Silver Controller Technical Guide G011000-PS-1.07-01E The Pioneer Silver controller is the standard controller configuration for basic water-source heat pump systems with terminals for connection to a heat pump thermostat. AAON stocked water-source heat pumps include the Pioneer Silver. An expansion board allows for control of premium options, such as hot gas reheat and waterside economizer.

The Touchscreen Controller is a networkable controller with built-in space temperature and humidity sensors that mounts directly in the space similar to a conventional thermostat. The powerful, yet simple, controller allows set-and-forget control over an indoor environment without the expense of a large building automation system.

		VCB-X Controller Technical Guide OR-VCBX-FIELD-TGD-01X The Orion VCB-X Controller can be used on units with a single Variable Capacity Compressor and with or without additional fixed compressor stages. The VCB-X Controller can be configured for Constant Volume, Make-Up Air, VAV, and Single Zone VAV applications.

Modules

		RSMV Controller Technical Guide AA-RSMV-TGD-01C The RSMV monitors and controls one tandem compressor refrigeration circuit of the HVAC unit. The module is designed for R410-A refrigerant. Up to 4 RSMV’s can be connected, depending on the size of the system. There are 2 E-BUS Expansion Ports which allow the use of communicating sensors and other E-BUS Modules. The RSMV provides 4 analog inputs, 3 binary inputs, 3 relays, and 4 analog outputs. It connects with an included EBC E-BUS cable to the VCCX2 Controller.

		RSMD Controller Technical Guide AA-G039810-RSMD-TGD-01E The RSMD monitors and controls one or two refrigeration circuits of the HVAC unit. The module is designed for R410-A refrigerant. Up to 4 RSMD’s can be connected, depending on the size of the system. There are 2 E-BUS Expansion Ports which allow the use of communicating sensors and the E-BUS Modules. The RSMD provides 3 analog inputs, 4 binary inputs, 5 relays, and 2 analog outputs. It connects with an included EBC E-BUS cable to the VCCX2 Controller.

		RSMVC-P Controller Technical Guide AA-RSMVCP-TGD-01A The Refrigerant System Module for Copeland VFD Compressors (RSMVC-P) monitors and controls one refrigeration circuit of the HVAC unit. The module is designed for R410-A refrigerant. The RSMVC-P is connected to the VCCX-P Controller. There are 2 E-BUS Expansion Ports and one MODBUS Connector. The RSMVC-P provides 4 analog inputs, 3 binary inputs, 4 relays, and 2 analog outputs.

		MHGRV-X Controller Technical Guide AA-V16950-TGD-01M The MHGRV-X Controller controls a Modulating Hot Gas Reheat Valve to maintain a desired Supply Air Temperature and Dehumidification Setpoint. The MHGRV-X Controller connects to the VCM-X E-BUS (I2C) Controller, the VCB-X Controller, or the VCCX2 Controller via an included EBC E-BUS cable. The MHGRV-X Reheat Expansion Module is designed to control one set of reheat valves. The Reheat Expansion Module connects to the MHGRV-X Controller via an included EBC E-BUS communication cable. Connected together, the Reheat Expansion Modules provide a system that allows the proper control of multiple sets of valves.

		MODGAS-XWR2 (Previously known as the MODGAS-XWR-1) Controller Technical Guide V22330-MODGASXWR2-01C The MODGAS-XWR2 Controller is designed to be used with White-Rogers® valves only. It will modulate up to two (2) White-Rogers® gas valves to maintain a desired Discharge (Supply) Air Temperature (up to four (4) modulating gas valves may be controlled when a second MODGAS-XWR2 Controller configured as a slave module). The MODGAS-XWR2 Controller also controls the speed of the induced draft fan to maintain proper combustion in the heat exchanger. The controller can be used as a stand-alone unit or be connected to a 12 Relay E-BUS Expansion Module (stand-alone only) or VCM-X E-BUS (I2C) Controller, VCB-X Controller, or VCCX2 Controller using a modular cable. NOTE: The MODGAS-XWR2 provides (2) additional relays.

Sensors

		E-BUS Digital Room Sensor Technical Guide G042540-EBUS-DRS-01P The E-BUS Digital Room Sensors are used to sense Space Temperature only or Space Temperature and Space Humidity. The sensor connects to the VCCX2 or VCB-X Controller using various lengths of EBC E-BUS cables connected between the controller and the sensor. The Space Temperature only model can be used with the VAV/Zone Controller. It is either hard-wired or connected via EBC E-BUS cable.

		Wall Mounted E-BUS CO2 Sensor Technical Guide G042470-WM-EBUS-CO2-01C The Wall Mounted E-BUS CO2 Sensor is used for monitoring space CO2 levels and is designed for permanent wall mounting in the conditioned space. It connects to the VCCX2 or VCB-X Controller using an EBC E-BUS Cable. It can be daisy-chained with the E-BUS Digital Room Sensor for applications requiring both a space CO2 sensor and space temperature sensor.

		Duct Mounted E-BUS CO2 Sensor Technical Guide G042480-DM-EBUS-CO2-01C The Duct Mounted E-BUS CO2 Sensor with Remote Pickup Tube is used for monitoring duct CO2 levels and is designed for permanent mounting in the Return Air duct. It utilizes an aspiration box to accurately capture CO2 levels in the duct. It connects to the VCCX2 or VCB-X Controller by using an E-BUS cable with E-BUS connectors.

Auxiliary Controllers and Devices

		GPC-XP Controller Technical Guide G026160-GPCXP-01K The GPC-XP Controller is used for controlling equipment or processes that cannot be controlled using a standard HVAC controller. The GPC-XP provides the flexibility to control, schedule, and/or monitor equipment such as unit heaters, exhaust fans, motorized dampers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment. It can also be used for simple boiler, chiller, or refrigeration applications as well as to provide one lead/lag start function. The GPC-XP has an on-board CommLink that provides for stand-alone programming and monitoring via a direct USB connection to a computer running Prism 2 software. Alternatively, the System Manager Touch Screen II for GPC-XP can be used to view status, perform force modes, and set schedules.

		BACnet® General Controller (BGC) Technical Guide G042460-BGC-01E The BACnet® General Controller is an Input/Output module that has BACnet® MS/TP communication capability. The BGC has no internal logic, but allows a BACnet® front end to read its inputs and to command its outputs.

The Dual Digital Module will control the digital compressors to satisfy the cooling, dehumidifi cation, and heat pump requirements of the VCM-X Modular series controller.

		Full Digital Module Technical Guide AA-FDM-TGD-01G The Full Digital Module is a device that enables and modulates up to four digital compressors on HVAC Units controlled by the VCM-X Modular Controller or VCM-X Modular E-BUS Controller. The Full Digital Module will control the digital compressors to satisfy the cooling, dehumidification, and heat pump requirements of the VCM-X Modular series controller.

		Water-Source Heat Pump X Module Technical Guide AA-WSHPX-FIELD-TGD-01D The Water Source Heat Pump X Module monitors the compressors on an AAON Water Source Heat Pump unit and can disable the compressors based on low suction pressure, leaving water temperature, and waterproof of flow inputs. It also utilizes a Delay timer to prevent the compressors from turning on at the same time.

		One Condenser Head Pressure Module Technical Guide AA-HP1C-TGD The One Condenser Head Pressure Module monitors four individual head pressure transducers and controls the Condenser Fan or Water Valve based on the highest of the four readings. The module is designed to work stand-alone by using its OPTIONS Dip Switch to adjust the Head Pressure setpoint.

		Two Condenser Head Pressure Module Technical Guide AA-HP2C2-TGD-01E The Two Condenser Head Pressure Module monitors four individual head pressure transducers and controls two condenser fans or water valves on units with two physically separate condenser sections.

		Dual Electronic Expansion Valve Module Technical Guide AA-EXV-TGD-01A The Dual Electronic Expansion Valve Module provides control of two electronic expansion valves to maintain the superheat in the cooling circuits of the HVAC unit. The module is designed only for R410-A Refrigerant. The module is used in stand-alone applications only.

Sensors

		I2C Digital Room Sensors OR-DRS-TGD-01M The I2C Digital Room Sensors are used to sense Space Temperature only or Space Temperature and Space Humidity. They can be used with the VCM-X E-BUS Controller, RNE Modular Controller, or SA E-BUS Controller.

		I2C CO2 Sensors - Wall Mounted and Duct Mounted G042470-I2C-CO2-Sensor-01F The Wall Mounted Space CO2 Sensor is used for monitoring room CO2 levels and is designed for permanent wall mounting in the conditioned space. The Duct Mounted CO2 Sensor is comprised of the CO2 Sensor and the AAON Aspiration Box Assembly. It is used for sensing the current CO2 level in the HVAC unit’s return air stream. Both CO2 sensors can be used with the VCM-X E-BUS Controller, RNE Modular Controller, or SA E-BUS Controller.
